Most of the local casinos offer buffets for the Thanksgiving holiday with traditional menus of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. However, there are other restaurants offering everything from traditional to upscale turkey day menus if you're in the mood for something a little different for dinner on this traditional American celebration.
Thanksgiving Restaurants in Reno
Grand Sierra Resort
All the Charlie Palmer restaurants inside the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino will serve up a Thanksgiving specialty three-course menu for only $36, and its available on Nov. 26 from 4:30 to 10:30 p.m. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling (775) 324-9444. The Grand Sierra is located at 2500 East Second Street.
Silver Legacy
All the restaurants at the Silver Legacy will be serving up Thanksgiving dinners. One of the favorites is Sterling's Seafood Steakhouse, which will offer gourmet dishes like lobster escargot, Chilean sea bass and more in addition to a classic holiday turkey platter with all the favorite sides. The price is $55 per person and reservations are recommended; call 775-329-4777.
The Flavors! Thanksgiving Buffet will be served from Noon to 10 p.m. on Nov. 26 the Silver Baron Ballroom Holiday Buffet will be served from 3-9 p.m. Prices are $19.99 for adults and $9.99 for children age 6-12 for both buffets. The Eldorado Hotel Casino
The Eldorado Buffet will offer traditional Thanksgiving items with some special Italian specialties that will please everyone. The buffet opens at 11 a.m. and dinner starts at 4 p.m., and the price is $24 for adults, $19 for gold card members, and $13 for kids 10 and under.
The trendy Roxy restaurant will serve gourmet Thanksgiving items along with many of their regular menu offerings. Dinner begins at 4 p.m. and the three course meal prices are $35 for adults and $17 for children 12 and under. Reservations are suggested; call 800-648-5966 or 775-786-5700. The Peppermill
The Peppermill buffet is offering a traditional menu along with many of its regular offerings. Dinner starts at 11 a.m. and continues through 9 p.m. at the Island Buffet. Adults are $24.99 and children age 4 through 11 are $12.99. The Peppermill's many other restaurants will be serving special holiday menus, too. John Ascuaga's Nugget
The Rotisserie and Convention Center buffets offer many yummy holiday and regular options. The Rotisserie serves dinner from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and the Convention Center buffet is open from Noon to 6 p.m. The price for both is $22.95 for adults and $11.95 for children ages 5-11.
